Wow! It sure has been one exciting September for the United Way!
We kicked off the month with Reverse Raffle at Wheeling Island Hotel, Racetrack, and Casino on Spetmerb 8th. Thank you to our wonderful special events committee for helping secure phenomenal silent auction items and helping us with setting up! After that, we help the largest volunteer day in the Valley with our 31st annual Sandy O’Haver Day of Caring! This year we welcomed 157 volunteers at 28 different local non-profits. This day was filled with sweat, hard work, and tons of smiles! Thank you so much to EQT for sponsoring the Day of Caring this year.
And last but certainly not least, we wrapped up our month with Oktoberfest held at the Plaza on Market on September 24th. Thank you to our awesome volunteers who worked hard to keep everyone hydrated and having fun!
