Community Success Stories Brooke County Library Success Story 2022

We’re sharing success stories from UW member organizations that are demonstrating excellent care for our community members.

This one comes from Brook County Public Library:

“The library has been a very important part of one local patron’s life. This patron regularly uses the library for GeriFit Programs, movie showings, and circulation of reading materials. She also uses the meeting rooms as a member of certain groups who routinely meet at the library. This patron also donates materials that she is no longer in need of to the library for their sale shelves (magazines, books).

She has noted to staff that she is thankful the Brooke County Public Library has programs such as GeriFit that do not cost her any money. She said it was rare to find a place that would allow you to have a guided workout for free without trying to go through your insurance and/or another method of payment.

The Brooke County Public Library is a gem for the Wellsburg community. It offers so many services, mostly free, or at low costs. The people that work in the library are polite, thoughtful, informative, and ready to help you. The library provides services for children and seniors alike! To me, it’s the best place in town I like to go to.”
