Throughout our community, there are many struggling with social isolation. With added restrictions on visitors and activities at nursing facilities, those being cared for could use an act of kindness to help brighten their day.
The United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley would like to encourage community members to make a card (or multiple) with an uplifting message to an elderly person in a nursing facility. Make it a craft project to do with your household! Write a card telling them about yourself, include your favorite quote, tell a joke and let them know they are loved.
The facilities we have highlighted below have residents that would love to have their days brightened. We will continue to add more facilities and you can find an updated list at unitedwayuov.org.
