The 33rd Annual Sandy O’Haver Day of Caring was a tremendous success! This year, we completed 22 agency projects stretching from Weirton to New Martinsville, WV, and extending across the river to Belmont County and St. Clairsville, OH. A heartfelt thank you to our 209 volunteers whose hard work and dedication made this day possible!

The event began at the White Palace, where agencies and volunteers checked in with our Marketing and Outreach Coordinator, Adriana Collelo, and Wendy Anderson from the St. Clairsville Chamber. After check-in, our Executive Director, Staci Stephen, thanked the volunteers, announced our 2024-2025 Annual Campaign (Raised Here, Stays Here), and introduced Margie Carr of First Presbyterian Church. Margie prayed over the day and included a moment of silence for 9/11. Volunteers then swiftly headed to their assigned projects for a day of giving back.

Are you looking for a place to donate money to charity in the upper Ohio Valley, but aren’t sure where there is the biggest need?

We can help you give local. The United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley is the communities’ giving plan. Our team of committees and board members not only do the “checks and balances” to fund the programs that hit biggest needs in our community, but they also make sure that nonprofit donations we receive are going the furthest they can to improve lives in this community.
