By creating a venue that allows individuals to see the many ways they can make a difference while allowing agencies to promote their needs, United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley has increased the potential for volunteerism, donations, and involvement in the community. On June 6, 2016, United Way member agencies in the area began posting their volunteer and other needs online in hopes of increasing the opportunities for community members to get involved.
GET CONNECTED will do more than just create matches among the service community and private citizens, it will also help to build lasting relationships. We hope to extend this great service to other non-profits in the future.
